I believe this is the first instance of an interactive online mapping system. It was developed on a contract and it was coded in Flash. Before this, all online maps were very static and you had to type in coordinates in order to get it to display the map you wanted.
About the time this screen recording was made, we had a conversation with a small company at the time by the name of Google. They got a copy of the code for this and a year later they launched Google Maps.
