Organic reach on Facebook has dropped and is all but completely gone. So instead complaining about it, let’s all follow the new Facebook Rules:
- Use Social Campaigns – Photo Contests, Promotions, Newsletter signups, etc. to collect useful data like email addresses, not just likesl
- Remember that and email address is more valuable than a Facebook like.
- Don’t Like Bait – Facebook’s algorithm doesn’t like it.
- Promotion is essential – a very small percentage (less than 6%) of your fans visit your page/apps organically.
- When a person shares your content, Facebook considers it coming from a person, not a brand.
- Experiment with targeting posts – By gender, relationship status, age, location, etc.
- Experiment with hybrid content marketing – promoting targeted posts to targeted audiences.
- Fill out your page by adding important company milestones.
- Make sure social campaigns are mobile ready.
- Change your cover photo frequently.
- Always respond to comments.
- Interact with fans appropriately to increase organic reach.
- Ask and answer questions.
- Check page insights to see when is the best time to post for your audience.
- Schedule posts to go up during weekends and nights.
- Assign admin roles and establish company standards.
- Be entertaining and helpful, not sales-y.
- Look for ways to stand out in the crowd.
- Be Personal.
- Share stories.
- Make sure the details in your about section is up-to-date.
- Have Fun.
